Got asked for my input on a firmly worded letter a colleague wanted to send to an adversarial party that had demanded something stupid.

Futzed around to come up with some way of getting the point across in English.

Was asked to re-work it. Reason?

It wasn't sarcastic enough.

And people wonder why this country is going to pot.

I have the opposite problem at work. I need to write multiple drafts of emails - first what I want to say, followed by the version that would be considered professional and not along the lines of "You are my team lead, why do you seem to think I should be doing your job?"

Seriously, though, good luck with the crazy. Did the next draft meet their expectations of sarcasm?
