In an office environment, if someone is senior enough to have their own private office, generally that office will have a door. With hinges. And a latch.

This is so that door can be closed.

And if the occupant of that office has a propensity to shout angrily into the telephone? Maybe it's just me, but isn't there some rule of ettiquite saying that you should close the door instead of inflicting noise pollution on everyone else trying to get work done.
