Quiet time again

bktheirregularA week's gone by with no significant protests in Athens - well, there was a shootout of some sort last night in the southwest of greater Athens that killed two cops, but that might have been a botched robbery. Though it's a concern that ordinary robbers might have been toting AK-47's...
Weather turned cold in the last week, and it's raining today. That's winter in Athens, mostly - doesn't look like there's going to be snow this year. It's a tossup in general, I suppose.
A few bright spots, apartment-wise:
- Got some artwork for the walls. Posters, not actual paintings, but they help fill up some empty space.
- Cracked flooring in my hallway is now nicely tiled. Took about three or four days for the dust to settle, but I was told that the previous floor was a rather significant eyesore in an otherwise nicely laid-out living space.
- Next-door neighbors, who were heavy smokers and liked to play their TV rather loud, suddenly moved out last weekend. The owner of the apartment will presumably try to find somebody new to lease the place, and may have to do some renovations him/herself to prepare the place, but it's nice not to step out to the elevator and get choked by cigarette smoke.
Work continues apace, which is to say, oscillating between quiet and insane. Nothing new there.
