Continent hopping

bktheirregularI already had my Christmas vacation tickets when my mom came up with the idea.
My dad turns 80 on Saturday, so she decided to throw a surprise party for him, inviting his friends from across the decades.
As it turned out, the only one who couldn't really make it was the guest of honor's eldest son.

A quick note to the Senior Partners to get me a few days' leave, some noodling on Delta.com, and here I am, just landed in New York, flying back Sunday afternoon.
And of course, jet-lagged, but whatcha gonna do? The trip's short enough that I'll hopefully be still on Athens time when I go back.
(Oh, and I finally broke down and got an iPod. Dr. Teeth will probably end up completely supplanting my old Pocket PC, Beaker. The ebook store already looks dangerously addictive.
