Looking forward to moving.

Hope there aren't any hitches with the acquisition of the new apartment. Reason number eleventy-somethingth why I'm looking forward to being in a new place:

The kitchen sink.

Specifically, the way the sink in my place seems to have only three modes:

- Chinese water-torture drip
- High-power Water-Pik pulsing accompanied by godawful screech
- FLOODING FLOODING FLOODING IN THE ENGINE ROOM ALL HANDS ABANDON SHIP

Woke up to the terrible news about the wildfires near Athens. Everything ok where you are??

I'm pretty much in the center of town, so I'm OK - still pretty frightening, though. Yesterday, it looked like a pretty nasty storm cloud over the hills surrounding Athens - wasn't until later that I put 2 and 2 together and realized it was smoke from the fires...
