Strikes. Grr arrgh.
Oct. 21st, 2008 10:46 amDoctor's appointment this evening after work, to discuss my test results and determine where to go from here.
Except that it looks like I may not be able to get there. The entire mass transit system is shutting down due to a strike. Metro, tram lines, buses (including the electric trolley buses), EVERYTHING. Without a car, it'd be very difficult to get there, and impossible to get home. (To say nothing of what the roads will probably be like. Plus the fact that I don't KNOW the roads. If I ever get a car here, my first investment is going to have to be a GPS unit.)
I was told in my Greek classes that I needed to learn not just the words and the rules, but the Greek way of thinking. If this is the Greek way of thinking, then screw that.
