Bad morning
Oct. 2nd, 2008 11:16 amLast night, I called to see what was the deal with getting my absentee ballot so I can vote a month from the day after tomorrow, and apparently they never received the request I sent in a freakin' month ago. So I may be locked out of voting in this, maybe the most important election of my life.
This morning, before going to work, I checked the newspaper sites and blogs that get me back up to speed with what's been happening while I slept, and I wonder if there's going to be a United States of America for me to return to.
On top of that, one blog owner posted: "And there are no Yankees in the postseason. Rejoice!"
[ rant about curb-stomping people who are down on the ground and licking their wounds deleted by the Department of Homeland Security ]
Now I get to work, and there's some sort of protest going on down at street level, with whistles and screaming I can't understand.
I need to hear some good things.
