In the United Kingdom, what would be the proper name for the tractor part of a tractor-trailer?

And what would be the name for what someone in America would call a hood ornament? (seeing as how the "hood" of a car does not mean the front engine compartment cover in Imperial English?)

Articulated lorry is right-- not sure about the hood ornament but I'll ask when I go out later. hood = bonnet, though.

On the same page from which I got "car mascot" they did us something like "hood ornament (bonnet ornament)" or "hood/bonnet ornamment" (dont' remember which way for sure) as part of the paragraph that mentioned the car mascot.
