Trying to kick the creative impulses into gear, so bear with me:

Hee! Worst case, you can always get your OWN sonic screwdriver (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/8cff/), fiddle about with it a bit, and see if it helps the inspiration strike...

I've got one sitting on my desk. Unfortunately, ThinkGeek doesn't carry the Arcturan mega-pliers...
