Back in gear

bktheirregularSpent the weekend alternately sleeping and coughing. Mostly a head cold, I think. Forced me to open up my boat tickets to the island, but that trip can be re-scheduled.
Back at the office today; Athens is open again after being entirely closed for Easter Monday (I don't know anyplace else that treats Easter Monday like it's treated here). Oh, and on top of that, someone mentioned in passing that the office is closed again for May Day.
Considerate, actually. I mean that someone would think: "hey, guy from another continent, he might not know the bank holidays cold". But it splits the week and means business is going very slowly. (I think a number of people took advantage of it and scheduled vacations for this week.)
It also probably means that the bureaucracy won't be in full motion until sometime next week, either, so my citizenship papers are probably still gummed up. I've got two and a half weeks to my medical tests for the work permit, and another six weeks of cushion time after that, so hopefully, one way or another, my status will be thoroughly settled by the end of June.
