bktheirregularEmail today from Athens; my "Registry of Males" certificate will be ready in seven to ten business days. They're going to check tomorrow to see if I can establish my past residency in the USA from the offices in Athens.
Phone call today from the consulate: my work permit papers are apparently in. Visa officer asked me to come in with a copy of my health insurance card, and my passport so it can get the visa affixed to it. Three or four working days, I think he said.
So, looks like I may be headed back to Athens sometime next week, or at the latest, the week after.
Headed down to One Police Plaza to get the latest copy of my Good Conduct Certificate, then up to the consulate to get the visa processing started.
(And off topic: hoping so so so so much that I can retire my Big Brother icon by New Year's.)
