What's the opposite of an accomplishment?
Feb. 19th, 2008 10:14 pmFirst day back at the office. Lots of familiar faces, many meetings (no official meetings, though). A few new faces, one of which now occupies my old desk. I got given a different desk, recently vacated by an associate who left the firm to start her own firm.
No work got done; I didn't have any projects that had been left hanging (can't really do that if you don't know how long you'll be gone), and no new projects came my way. But hey, it's just the first day back.
Had a mishap, though; the door to the office I now share with two others locks, and the key got left in the lock. Being a bit clumsy and uncertain about that sort of door, never having had to negotiate it before, I bumped into the doorknob with my hip.
And bent the key almost into an "L" shape in the process.
Thankfully, there's another key. But I've got to be careful about that.
