Here's how it is...
Dec. 19th, 2002 11:26 pmA journal has to start somewhere.
They call me Bruce, and I am ... in transition, I guess would be the best phrase. Real Life kind of threw me a gap in the road, between student-hood and career-hood, so I do jobs as they come up, marking time. I spent four years preparing for a single career, and it will be the better part of another year before I can truly embark upon that road, so ... I think. And I write.
Those of you who came from my fanfiction.net page, you may have already seen a few examples. If you haven't seen it, have a look, if that's your thing.

From some of the choices I've made in entertainment the past few years, I wonder if I've got a reverse Midas touch. I discover Farscape just in time for it to get cancelled. I get into Firefly from the get-go, only to be left hanging by Fox. Buffy looks like it may be coming to a close this coming spring ... and that pretty much sums up the things I find time to watch. I add up my TV time and it comes to a surprisingly small number. Probably ingrained habit from not having time to watch anything while working full time and going to law school full time.
But the ideas keep coming, and I try and force them out, put them down. Sometimes they flow like water: two Firefly fics in three days, easy as pie. Sometimes, it's like pulling a tooth. But then, I guess all writers are like that sometimes.
There's a bit of a story behind each of my works, I suppose: I'll get to those in the next entry. For the moment ... I'll just say hello. Don't worry about breaking things as you look around; there's nothing that can't stand a little examination here.
And so it begins...
Close entry.
