It's the New Year, Charlie Brown!

bktheirregularEight days in and this is my first post to the journal. I'm afraid I may be falling into bad habits.
New Year's Eve was spent in Baltimore, where much enjoyment was had. Came back and promptly had to visit a dentist - regular checkup, cleaning, and the dentist told me that my teeth seem to be in very good shape. Between that, the physical (cholesterol a bit high, but everything else looked okay), and the eye doctor's appointment (no further damage from the Graves' disease, and I don't even have to change the prescription on my lenses), I'm three-for-three with the medical professionals.
So, naturally, I promptly went and caught a cold. Been spending the last four or five days loading up on Vitamin C through juices and supplements, and trying to avert screaming headaches at two in the morning.
Work visa still pending. Heard through the grapevine that papers have been prepared and sent from Athens; whether they're coming to me or to the consulate, I don't know. Anxious, and not prepared to believe it'll actually happen until I get cleared past the passport checkpoint at the Athens airport.
