Delayed update
Apr. 17th, 2003 12:59 amTemporary agency came through with a clerical opening. Not too exciting, but hey,it's work. Even if it is only for a couple of weeks.
Even with help from the family, unemployment is becoming not just a stigma or a pinch, but a vise-grip. Add to that the other worries of 21st-century life - I'd have a nervous breakdown except I haven't got the energy for it.
I look at the newspaper and despair. I listen to the news and my stomach flips.
Something has got to give.

I know you didn't intend it, but you sent the "Les Miserables" soundtrack careening through my head. *wry g*
Good luck with the job search. It's hell hunting for a job these days, but rumor has it that if us 20 and 30-somethings hang on for a few more years we'll hit some kind of hiring upsurge because of Baby Boomers retiring. Still sucks now, though.
As to the other worries of 21st century life: Yeah. I know. Words cannot express the suckiness of the early 21st century.
