I got so buried in pork (honestly, what's an cash award to the silver-medal team in the 2006 Basketball World Cup doing in financial markets legislation?) that I almost forgot something interesting that came out of my translation.

Ever wonder how the Ferengi from Star Trek got their name?

Here's a hint, I suppose: the Greek word «φερέγγυος» translates as "solvent", in the sense of being financially solvent.

By contrast, «αφερέγγυος» means "insolvent," which sounds like a pretty bad insult in context...
