Sep. 1st, 2007 10:19 pmDesktop computer finally reached a point where I had to do a fresh installation of Windows. After a couple of crashes necessitating recoveries from backups, the thing worked, sort of, but it had gotten ... manky.
Backed up all the critical stuff, installed without a hitch, connected my wireless network adapter, and then ran the Windows Update.
Which wanted to install, by my actual count, ninety-five separate patches.
