For anyone who wonders about the difference between intelligence and wisdom, and wonders if someone can be wise without being smart:

Don't know any examples in real life, but in literature, one example that springs immediately to mind is Detritus, from Discworld.

(Unless one encounters Detritus in a cold snap. Then there's intelligence, too.)

(The electronic lending library functions of the New York Public Library are great. But also dangerous.)
