If I remember right, the Do Not Call registry was supposed to stop companies from cold-calling and robo-calling with advertisements for prescription drugs and erectile dysfunction drugs and the like.

I know I placed the apartment's number on the Do Not Call list.

So why are the cold calls and the robocalls still coming in?

We have had the same problem. What we did:
-- keep track of the time and date of the call and what the ad was for
-- get the caller's phone number
-- send all of it to the state Attorney General's office, explaining that we had registered with the DNC registry and weren't supposed to be getting the calls.

The calls stopped. We got a letter from the AG's office thanking us for the info and saying that the company placing the calls had been sued by the state for violating the DNC registry.

That is the only thing that did work, but it worked.
