Wrapping up. Slow day today, though I'm told that in the next month or so, the need for an attorney speaking the international trade language as a native will be acute. Unfortunately, whether I'll be available for that task ... kinda isn't up to me.
Sucks hard vacuum, having one's fate lying in the hands of the bureaucrats.
Anyway, things are mostly squared away. Suitcase about half-packed, because some things just have to wait for the last minute (toothbrush, electric shaver, other sundries). Perishables gone from the fridge, save for a tub of butter and a packet of cheese.
Still ... frustrating. It's one thing to pack for two weeks, another thing entirely to pack for three months. And something else entirely to not know which sort of trip it's going to be.
(Sorry, I know I've griped about this before.)
I suppose if nothing else, this'll be a good test of how long the battery power lasts on Joshua (the new laptop). (Learned a long time ago: it's never safe to depend on the in-flight entertainment people for good ways to pass the time.)
Tomorrow at this time, I should be (theoretically) over the Atlantic, a little more than halfway home. (And even if it's a short trip, even if I'm hoping to return to Athens sooner or later, yes, I am going home.)
