Water leak.

bktheirregularGrr. Arrgh.
Went to wash my hands, came back to the bedroom, and found a spot on my bed that looked as though a single drop of water had falled on it. I checked my hands - they were dry - and then I heard a "tap" sound. Water, falling on fabric.
From the ceiling.
I looked up, saw a spot of water, then another, then another. Went upstairs, rang the doorbell, no answer. Superintendent is in the apartment next door to wherever the water's coming from; rang his doorbell, no answer.
Grabbed dinner, came back, leak had gotten worse. Rang offending apartment, no answer. Rang super's apartment, wife answered; didn't have a key to the offending apartment. Super's still out; wife is supposed to let him know when he returns.
Towels now on the bed; tapping sound coming at irregular intervals, one every several seconds or so. And tonight I was supposed to get as much rest as possible, to try and beat this virus off.
Again with the grr, with a side order of arrgh.
ETA: super came by, only to say that he can't get into the offending apartment. Absolutely frelling perfect.
ETA ETA: called the lady I'm renting the apartment from, and she seemed quite annoyed - not at me, but on my behalf. Took pity on my mangled attempts to explain it in Greek, and suggested we switch to English, at which point the conversation wrapped up quickly. Going to be lots of annoyed people tonight, but then again, I'm not paying rent so I can sleep under a gorram waterfall.
ETA ETA ETA: guy from upstairs came home and found that HE had a leak as well, coming out of his wall; he had to pull away wall-to-wall carpeting, the paint was actually bubbled from water damage. Conclusion: it's either from the third floor, or from the next building over. Experts are to be called tomorrow morning.
