Yesterday, I woke up with a sore throat, and wrote it off as living in an apartment building near a lot of smokers.

Today, the sore throat was worse, and it was accompanied by a headache and a cough. Yeah, looks like my luck ran out and I finally came down with a cold, or the flu, or something like that. Went to work to see if there was anything urgent that needed doing; turned out not, so I let 'em know I was heading right back home (figuring my chances of their exerting themselves on my behalf for the work visa thing might be somewhat degraded if I got half the office sick). Came home, lay down, and conked out for something like four hours.

Five PM EET. Now, to bundle up and set forth to find aspirin and a thermometer.

ETA @ ~ 1900 EET: temperature reads as 36.5 C, or 97.7 F - a full degree below normal. Loading up on vitamin C.

See if you can find echinacea in some form; I took it when I was first coming down that mess, and it never got particularly bad. It's one of those things that might help and won't hurt.

Couldn't find it at the pharmacy, unfortunately. Loading up on Vitamin C however I can, in the hope it'll have a similar effect. Thanks for the advice, though!
