Just remembered this today, though I first took note of it a while back.
Most people drink coffee or tea; I can't stand either one. So when lunch time rolls around, when I grab whatever it is I'm going to have for lunch, I generally get a Coke to go along with it.
(I know, I know; I've been told by a lot of people that it's no good for me, that it's bad for my teeth - although on my last visit to the dentist, I found out that my teeth were showing absolutely no signs of decay at all; in fact, the only tooth with any structural compromise at all was my upper right front incisor, and that wasn't from anything I drank, but rather from getting hit with a baseball and then an SUV. Which isn't relevant to what I wanted to say.)
(Also, I'm told that my consumption of Coke marks me as an American, but that's also not relevant to what I wanted to say.)
Point is, sometimes I'm asked whether I want a Coca-Cola Light (that's the term for a Diet Coke on this side of the Atlantic). My answer is always "οχι, κανονικη" - pronounced "okhi (no), kanoniki". "Κανονικη" translates as "ordinary", "regular" ... or, like it sounds, "canonical".
So I guess that makes Diet Coke AU. *g*
