bktheirregularSpent an inordiante amount of time getting my desktop computer into traveling condition and packing it for the trip to Athens. Got everything done, got the whole thing set up.
Undid it all with one moronic move.
Have a light in the entryway of my apartment, which had a broken bulb stem in it - no glass, so the potato trick wouldn't work. I cut the breakers to make sure I didn't get electrocuted -
- but forgot to turn off the desktop PC. Now it won't boot up - sometimes I see a flash of a blue screen of death, early on in the boot process, but it just recycles endlessly. Tried to boot from Windows XP CD, but that's not working either.
And since my laptop's been acting rather screwy (won't turn on unless it gets thumped in some manner that I haven't been able to determine yet), I could be up the creek without a paddle pretty soon.
