Last night stateside

bktheirregularToday was a little less hectic than yesterday; yay for advance planning. I did have to do some re-packing of my smaller suitcase, to cram in one or two items I wanted to bring with me; had to put my weight on the lid to close it, but I suppose that's an occupational hazard. Just got one carry-on to pack, with my laptop, power cord, stuff like that. Copying a few flicks to the laptop's hard drive so I can have some choice of in-flight movie.
Last couple of days have kinda worn me out, actually. It's a lot different this time, when I'm going to be staying much longer, actually living there, rather than just staying there. For a time, anyway. I'm not evacuating; I'm not emigrating. I don't know why I feel it's so important to declare that I'm coming back.
Maybe it's just that I'm tired, worn out, and feeling faintly sick from what I see in the newspapers.
Anyway, there might be one more entry tomorrow before I go. After that, I don't know - depends on getting the phone line, then the DSL hookup.
