Just finished a bit of major electronic surgery: transplanted my desktop computer into a mini-sized case. And everything seems to be (knock on wood) working.
Just have to connect the audio cables and I'm fully back in business. Until I have to unplug everything for transport to Athens, that is.
(Took approximately two hours. Think of it a bit like the brain-transplant operations from Mirror Dance, the racket Mark Vorkosigan put everything on the line to bust up. Except my version doesn't have the blood or the corpses or the squicky ethics.)
