State of the irregular, moving edition
Apr. 1st, 2006 12:58 pmLessee. New apartment is now official, so we have a mailing address. Arranged for telephone and TV (may have to do some fast talking to get a separate jack into which I can plug my computer to get kinda-sorta-free Tivo, but that would include Sci-Fi! yay!), and had to call all over the place to get bank, AmEx, cell phone company to change their books to my new address.
Down side: house buyers sent engineers over to check soil for contamination, and they came back and said they'd found hydrocarbons in the soil, presumably from a leak in the heating-oil tank. Which means much haggling over price is yet to come. Grr. Arrgh.
On plus side, got nice little phone attachment for computer, which means that when I use computer as a phone in the future, no more fumbling around with big honkin' headset. So I've kind of got my own business line now, which I can take wherever I go. Sort of.
More later.
