The diagnosis of Graves' Disease has left me at odds a little bit, I suppose; it's been three weeks, and the symptoms haven't abated even under the standard drug therapy. Talked with the specialist today, and it turns out my T3 and T4 levels were so high, so off the chart, that it might take a month before the vast excesses of thyroxine and triiodothyronine clear out of my system.
The blood tests literally read "alert" on them. I saw it. Though I might have put down "tilt" instead.
A pair of mysteries converged in the oven tonight; I'd been looking for a number of days for the nice magnetic sunglasses clip for my eyeglasses, and someone was wondering what the suspicious lump at the bottom of the oven might be.
Turns out - yep - the magnets on the sunglasses clip grabbed on to a broiler pan, and my sunglasses clip got baked. Melted the lenses.
Ah well. Had to see the eye doctor soon anyway, now that I'm starting to get a bit of the Marty Feldman eyes about me.
