Quick question, to anyone out there (but especially [livejournal.com profile] celli).

If a company has an Accounting Department, and there are calculations to be done regarding money, isn't it sort of, by definition, the job of the Accounting Department to make those calculations? Instead of, say, telling the Legal Department to work the numbers?

I shouldn't have said a word about work being too quiet. My eyeballs are starting to bleed.

It depends on the staffing in the department, the nature of the numbers, and whether or not they think they have someone trustworthy and capable (*points at you*) to do them if #1 is particularly low.

Sorry, dude. *pats*

It's never a good idea to complain about not having anything to do at work.
The fates give an immediate cackle and open the floodgates, right over your head. Very comparable to using the 'W' word in the Buffyverse.

Numbers can be gathered by anyone trying to prove their own case. Don't be too amazed if the ones you come up with get totally changed by every level of management further up the ladder.
