It turns out that the drug company will not only let me take a vacation, but will also want me back after the vacation is over. This is good.

They want me right up until the Labor Day weekend - which is good, and possibly also quite convenient, because September is the next action date on my path towards becoming an actual honest-to-goodness lawyer.

Two weeks out of this lunatic asylum the atlas insists on calling a country will probably do me some good.

Aside: when, where, and what is this VividCon thing?

I'd say sure, but it ends up being back-to-back panels (with, traditionally 5 mins to get from one to the other!). Something like MediaWest works pretty well for the "dropping by and hanging out" thing, but VividCon, I guess because it's so much smaller and more focused -- if you're not actually attending there's really not much you've got to do (unless you want to tour Chicago in August. :p), and precious little time to see anyone who is. :-/
