This blog sometimes asks favors of others (though not as often as this blog whinges about the inequities of life). Yesterday was one of those times.
Or rather, this blog asked a favor, then retracted it because circumstances changed.
Which probably makes today's entry all the more amusing, because it turned out this blog needed that favor after all, because this blog apparently has the intelligence of an undercooked oatmeal cookie.
To wit:
After gaining access to a communal satellite decoder box, finding a good tape to record with, and programming a VCR to record the Friday Night Sci-Fi Channel lineup, this blog forgot to turn off the VCR and thereby arm the recording timer.
Meaning that this blog is once again forced to ask for help. And probably a brain transplant.

Date: 2005-03-22 05:06 pm (UTC)And not dumb. If the industry could decide on a standard where you turned the VCR on/off to record, we could argue. But since every frelling fracking rutting machine is different, I can't agree with the dumb statement.
