Need the name of a movie of some sort. Hopefully one that would be fairly well known. Don't know if such a movie exists:

- No doubt about who's the good guys and who's the bad guys. No moral ambiguity among the heroes.
- In the end, the bad guys end up victorious.
- In the end, the good guys end up slaughtered.

The only movie that comes to mind is "El Norte", which may be a bit too obscure for my purposes...

There's a Denzel Washington movie called "Fallen" which meets those criteria, although it may not be exactly what you're after. DW plays a cop on the trail of a killer who turns out to be a body-jumping demon, which eventually takes over his partner, John Goodman. At the movie's climax, the cop kills demon-possessed John Goodman - but the story ends with a twist, as we discover that the demon has taken over the cop. The film opens with a v/o from Denzel Washington's character saying, "Let me tell you about the time I almost died..." and it's not until the last shots we realise it's not him speaking, but the demon.

I'm trying to think of war movies where the good guys get overwhelmed and slaughtered, but am drawing a blank.

"Glory" actually comes to mind - the American Civil War movie. Doesn't quite have the triumph-of-evil vibe I was looking for.

"Fallen" sounds closer, though. Thanks!

It gave me such a shock at the end when the bad guys won. And the good guy gets blown up.
