In the wake of the bird
Nov. 25th, 2004 10:14 pmSo Thanksgiving dinner went well. Ate more than is usual for me on the holiday (I've generally been a light eater on turkey day for some reason), and enjoyed the time with old family friends.
Then the talk turned to politics. Fueled by two bottles of wine.
*facepalm*
I know, I know, for most of the past year, it's been my life. But right now? I need to take it at my own pace, which means not listening to CNN, Fox News ... or soused family friends holding forth on the subject.
And in the interest of not being a total hypocrite, I switched out the default icon. I'm still afraid; I probably just shouldn't be shouting out my fear far and wide.
Help?
