Live (semi-live) from Lincoln Center
Mar. 6th, 2003 10:45 pmFound taker for third ticket. Three pieces on program.
First: music for cello and orchestra, by Leon Kirchner, cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Sounded like music cues from movie Tron. Left me lost.
Second: "Seeing", for piano and orchestra, by Chrictopher Rouse, pianist Emanuel Ax. Listed as a musical interpretation of the world view of a psychotic, the piece nearly induced post-traumatic flashbacks. Very not enjoyable.
Third, "The Song and Dance of Tears," by one Bright Sheng. Based on Chinese folk songs heard along the Silk Road. Interesting.
Close entry.
