I just got a ping for a NY-based job (I'm not moving) from a buddy of mine. I thought: okay, Bruce writes, Bruce has a legal background - would Bruce have any interest in becoming a "fund documentation specialist" - it's a very corporate/moneygrubber type thing, and that didn't really strike me as Your Thing, but..?
Excerpt: "The successful candidate will be an excellent writer, a meticulous organizer, and an adept project manager with strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities will include coordinating review of documentation between groups, corresponding and negotiating with investors and outside attorneys, drafting documentation for structuring fund vehicles, and helping to create and review marketing materials. Candidates should have a first-rate academic background and 2-5 years work experience. Background in law is a plus, as is technical writing, editing and/or proofreading skills. Full benefits and a casual, collegial working environment."
If you've got any interest, I'll post you the contact info for the hiring folk. - D.L.
