Overhead noise

So apparently, this Sunday is the Greek Independence Day (when they broke away from the Turks). Day of celebration, all that jazz. Probably parades, what have you.

According to a co-worker, they're doing dress rehersals, which accounts for why I've been hearing fighter jets screaming overhead at low altitude all morning, interspersed with low-flying military helicopters passing by in formation.

Sounds like it might be a long day.

Work

Not much to report. Except that after spending days on end reading through a translated prospectus - until it felt like my eyes were about to fall out - I finally got diverted to a different task. Spent the morning on it; time passed quickly.

Felt rather good actually accomplishing something.

(The fighter jets finally stopped buzzing overhead, which didn't hurt.)
