Co-worker notes that I seem to be in a somewhat friable state of mind.
My response: "These aren't tears. My eyeballs are leaking jet fuel [from reading aircraft lease documents all frelling day]."
Much laughter. Co-worker offers me a cigarette to calm down.
Instinctive response that I'm depressed and tired, but not suicidal, is successfully suppressed (see above re: not suicidal).
