I think I just realized something that may be contributing to my increased crankiness and dangerously elevated stress levels, aside from the no-work thing, the anorexic bank-account thing, and the whole volunteer-to-stave-off-national-doom thing.

I need a vacation. I've been going mostly full-tilt since ... well, since last October, and had hardly a break in it anywhere.

Unless you count that one weekend this past spring in Chicago...
