The price of work
Oct. 23rd, 2004 10:39 amThey've asked me back to the temp job on a more and more regular basis this past week. Which is good - working for pay is a good thing when you've been on the bricks two years - but it also means that I've gotta tank out on the campaign volunteering thing in the last two weeks before the most critical election of our generation.
Anyone out there willing to take up the slack? Maybe put in a few hours here or there, since I can't at this point?
Obligatory baseball note: If I read about the Red Sox being invited to the White House by the President, basking in the glow of his re-election, I'm chucking the whole law thing and going into the psychotic supervillain business. I think I can build the obligatory evil death ray from what I've got in my computer spare parts bin; there's any number of Aegean islands that'll serve as a secret lair; all I really need is a cat...
