Have you ever actually felt the blood in your veins turn to ice?

I always thought it was just a figure of speech. Until one day when someone told me about ... well, it was pretty much a betrayal, and I actually got the sense that there was ice water flooding through my blood vessels.

It happened again for the second time in my life.

Discovered there may have been an alternate reason why blood ran cold last night: the furnace decided to conk out sometime past midnight, so temperature throughout the house was doing its impression of Siberia. Left me feeling quite logy in the morning, resulted in my getting underway an hour later than I'd intended.

Brother took care of hollering at oil dealer, getting part replaced on furnace. Go him.

Am now typing while cooking chicken, rice, broccoli, biscuits. Go me.

(Yes, he cooks, he cleans, he slices, he dices! He also has some unfortunate mental instabilities, and let's face it, he's not exactly Mister Universe, but hey, can't have everything...)
