Wedding ceremony seems to be 90% Catholic doctrine, and me with no decoder ring. And is it so hard to comprehend ...

Sorry I can't help you, dude. I know a little Catholic, but it's very rusty. If you needed a Protestant decoder, I could certainly help you there, but with Catholics, it's all saints and sacraments and I know not what.

Congratulations to your cryptographic friends

I must confess that I am rather ignorant of the differences, the several weddings I've attended in the last 5 years being Protestant... the last Catholic wedding I remember attending was in 1978, IIRC. I was 4, and I was definitely in a suit and tie, but I wasn't the ringbearer. :-P

Grats to your friends, in any case.

Well, a Catholic wedding usually takes place in the course of a Mass. Consequently, technically, it's religious service first and a wedding ceremony second. *shrugs*
