Burning discs issues

bktheirregularNote to anyone out there who has a DVD or CD recorder and the urge to make discs:
Probably a good idea to polish the data surface of the disc before putting it into the burner. 'Cos if someone hands you a disc that had a big greasy thumbprint right where the laser's trying to write data? Wipe off the print, and its image will be left behind in the burn tracks.
Especially bad if you're working with a burn-once disc.
