On reading a recent post by [livejournal.com profile] bonibaru and considering the ramifications:

(What ramifications? Well, if a Supreme Court decision can be overturned by a vote of Congress, then judicial review ceases to exist, and the Constitution becomes whatever the Congress decided it should be, regardless of the actual text of the document. Why bother to make an amendment? Why bother to have a written Constitution in the first place?)

I was thinking that the Founding Fathers must be turning over in their graves. Then I realized that wasn't enough, and found myself wishing that the Founding Fathers would rise from their graves and re-enact Night of the Living Dead upon their supposed political heirs...

I think your fantasy wouldn't work anyway, because don't they need to eat ... brains?

Where, then, would they find nourishment among their modern political heirs?

That'll just become a vicious circle. The Supreme Court will just over-rule the rule saying that Congress can over-rule the Supreme Court.

Stupid represenatives. And they don't even live in my state so I can't not vote for them next time.

But your reps will have to vote on this, ultimately. It might not hurt to give them an earful on what you think of the bill.
