Is it OK to hate the snowplows?

bktheirregularI shoveled the driveway this afternoon - managed to blast my car out of its parking spot where it had been snowed in. Hit the roads to check something - bad move. Roads were nearly impassable. Nearly, but not quite - I got out and back safely, though I did have an interesting time starting at a traffic light while facing uphill. Spun my wheels for about 20 seconds before they grabbed.
Folks went to the opera in the City tonight ... braved the snow to do so. Now, at 5:30, the driveway was shoveled and passable. Sometime between then and 12:30 the plows cruised through again.
12:30 I get a call. Folks are in the driveway. They tried to blast through the snowdrift and the Prius got stuck. Electric cars are a wonder, but not designed for heavy snow.
So, half an hour of shoveling later, the car got dug out, the drift got cleared enough to get the electric car into the driveway, and here I am.
Kid brother comes home tomorrow. Before he can get into the driveway, I have to get approximately two hundred cubic feet of snow out of the way.
*sigh* It's gonna be a long day.
