After scrimping and saving, I may be able to afford to take a weekend vacation or something after the bar is done. This may turn out to be the long-delayed trip to Chicago.

Is the middle of March a bad time to be in Chicago?

It'll be chilly, but probably not as bad as now. And you're used to that anyway. :-)

Maybe-hopefully. I still have to see if I can balance books and things, and any number of things might mess it up. If I get a job, if the finances don't work out, if, if, if ...

Not a done deal yet, but I'm gonna try and make a few plans.
