I know there's a few people out there who use PalmPilots of one type or another. I was wondering: is it at all common to use something like e-book software on one of those? And if so, what type? And how would one go about converting a document to that format?

Oh, and in case I forgot, thank you, one and all, for "cogitas ergo es". < g >

I use e-book software quite a bit (the default PalmReader) to read purchased e-books on my Palm (or at least I did before it got lost/stolen). However, my quick-conversion-of-choice software is "WordSmith", which is a word processor that can be used as a text reader. It converts Word and RTF documents, and has an edit mode and a reading mode. I used it all the time to read downloaded fanfic from the 'net. It's commercial, but I've found it well worth the price. Look for a software company called "Blue Nomad" and you'll find it.

If you're looking for a format that you can use to post up e-book formatted stories for reading, there's a conversion program (if you use it's coding) for PalmReader. You're not supposed to use it for copyright violations like fanfic, though. (Software at the PalmDigitalMedia site.)
