The new Battlestar Galactica? I'm starting to see a few similarities to Firefly, and not just that the CGI shop had a Firefly transport flying over Caprica City.

Looking at the effects shots, the style of cinematography seems to echo Firefly's - the documentary style, not-quite-steady shots, and the gritty feel of the whole production. Maybe it's just me...

Nope, Bruce--I noticed that right away.

And it made me all bitter and cranky.

Bitter and cranky, yes, but it also gives me a reason to give the new Galactica series a chance. I'm odd that way.

Yeah, I saw that too -- especially in the last battle when Galactica's batteries were arming and swinging out towards the Cylons.

Gotta say, I really liked what I saw of it. Very good acting, especially.
