Has anyone else around gotten an "invite" to fanstory.com? It sounds too much like one of those "we want your money" scams to me.

Though it might be amusing to see a yahtzee63 or a taraljc blow the doors off some of the reviewers or whatever ... it just smells too much like a scam to me. Like those poetry contests that pick "winners" that would have placed in a Bulwer-Lytton contest or something, and ask for much gold for a copy of the book of poems...

Just a heads-up.

Not me, but I'm not nearly the biggest nor the most well-known of fic writers. And yeah, I get scam vibes off it too. Thanks for the warning.

It's odd. I figure I'm neither all that big nor all that well-known, and my body of work isn't all that large, so how'd they get their hooks into my address?

I especially get leery when they say you get credit of something like 25 "member cents" for posting a review or something like that. And the hooey about certificates ... ergh.
