Is it my imagination, or is Christmas advertising getting as bad as Valentine's Day advertising?

Guy around the corner from me has his lights up already. Oy.

Heh. My mom and my stepdad had an argument about the lights this weekend.

He wanted to put them up now while the weather was nice. Mom objected that she didn't want to put up Christmas decorations til after Thanksgiving.

His response: "Well, we don't have to turn them ON til then, do we?"

So they compromised, because it's supposed to rain this coming weekend.

Are your neighbor's lights up but off? Or is he just being impatient and turning them on already?
