Surfacing again

bktheirregularOK, I'm letting way too much time pass between updates.
Went to the islands over the Easter weekend; it was a nice getaway, somewhat marred by folks setting off bombs.

Them too, but it was the dynamite bombs that really had an effect. Apparently wildcat fireworks and explosives are the tradition in the islands. They've even got one island where the tradition is for two nearby churches to shoot rockets at each other - supposedly to hit the other church's bell tower. Wasn't the guy they're celebrating supposed to be called the Prince of Peace?
Oh, like there aren't ridiculously inappropriate celebrations back home?
Generally not with body counts, no. This Easter's festivities here in Greece killed people.
Two words: Devil's Night.
